The short version
ScreenshotEdits runs entirely on your Mac. Your screenshots never leave your computer. We don't collect them, we don't see them, we don't store them. The app has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.
The app
ScreenshotEdits is a native macOS application. All image processing happens locally on your machine using your CPU and GPU. Nothing is sent to any server.
The app does not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports, or any form of telemetry. It does not require an internet connection to function. You can use it completely offline.
There are no user accounts. No sign-up, no login, no email collection within the app itself.
License validation
When you activate a Pro license, the app sends your license key to LemonSqueezy's servers to verify it. That's a license key string — nothing else. No personal data, no device identifiers, no screenshots.
After initial activation, periodic license checks may occur. These checks only transmit the license key.
The website
This website (screenshotedits.com) uses Vercel Analytics, which collects basic, anonymized page view data — pages visited, referrer, country, browser type. No cookies are used for analytics. No personal information is collected.
The website uses essential cookies only — things like remembering if you dismissed a banner. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
Payments
Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. When you purchase a license, LemonSqueezy handles your payment information, email address, and billing details. We do not store or have access to your credit card information.
LemonSqueezy's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data. We receive your email address and license key from LemonSqueezy for the purpose of delivering your license.
What we store
Here is an exhaustive list of data we have access to:
- Email address — only if you purchased a license (provided by LemonSqueezy)
- License key — for activation and validation
- Anonymized page views — from Vercel Analytics on this website
That's it. No screenshots, no usage data, no device fingerprints, no behavioral tracking.
