How to Use ScreenshotEdits Web App
Beautify any screenshot in under 30 seconds. Open the app, paste your image, pick a look, export. No download, no account — works on any device with a browser.
Open the web app
Head to app.screenshotedits.com in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. No download, no account, no setup. The editor loads instantly.
Upload or paste your screenshot
You have three options: drag and drop an image onto the editor, click the upload area to pick a file, or press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) to paste directly from your clipboard. Paste is the fastest — take a screenshot, switch to the app, paste, done.
Choose a background
The free tier includes 5 gradient presets to get you started. Web Pro unlocks all 30+ gradients across 10 categories — purple, blue, green, orange, pink, dark, light, multicolor, solid colors, and transparent. Pick one and it's applied instantly.
Adjust your settings
Fine-tune corner radius, shadow depth and blur, border width, and padding on each side. These controls are available on both Free and Pro tiers. The preview updates live as you adjust.
Export your screenshot
Click Export or press Cmd/Ctrl+S to download as PNG. You can also copy directly to your clipboard. The free tier exports at 1x resolution with up to 3 exports per day and a small 'ScreenshotEdits' branding. Pro removes limits entirely — 1x/2x/3x, unlimited exports, no branding.

Tips for better results
Use keyboard paste for speed
Take a screenshot with your OS shortcut, switch to the web app, press Cmd/Ctrl+V. The whole flow takes under 5 seconds.
Match the background to your context
Purple gradients look great in presentations and social media. Dark backgrounds work well for docs and code screenshots. Light backgrounds suit blog posts and tutorials.
Don't overdo the shadow
A subtle shadow (20-40% depth) looks more professional than a heavy one. The default settings are a solid starting point.
Use 2x export for Retina displays
If your screenshot will appear on a website or in a presentation viewed on a Retina/HiDPI screen, export at 2x for crisp results. Available with Pro.
Need screen capture or OCR?
The web app handles beautification and basic editing. For built-in screen capture (⌘⇧6), text extraction (OCR), system hotkeys, and fully offline editing, download the native Mac app. It's free with all features — the €19 Pro license just removes the watermark.
